The time of the 79th National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2024) is a sensitive time for hostile, reactionary forces and hackers to take advantage of to increase cyber attacks to sabotage and oppose the Party and the State. In particular, recently, a number of information systems of agencies, organizations and enterprises in Vietnam have been seriously damaged by cyber attacks. In order to avoid being passive and surprised in any situation, agencies, organizations and enterprises have implemented a number of measures.
1. Strengthening the implementation of network information security activities:
a) Increasing resources for direct monitoring and ensuring network information security 24/7; Assign personnel to regularly and continuously monitor centralized information security monitoring systems and centralized malware prevention and control systems to ensure early detection of interface change attack risks, timely handling and troubleshooting of network attacks.
b) Review and fully update security vulnerability patches for information systems, monitor and handle network information security warning documents.
c) Proactively conduct inspections, assessments, detection and troubleshooting of security vulnerabilities; Hunt for threats and remove malware for all servers and workstations in the information system.
d) Prepare an Emergency Response plan to be ready to deploy solutions to respond to and troubleshoot network attacks.
d) Back up data according to the 3-2-1 principle: have at least 03 copies of data, store copies on 02 different storage media, with 01 offline backup (using tape/USB/portable hard drive, etc.); Deploy solutions to be ready to quickly restore information system operations when incidents occur, bringing information system operations back to normal within 24 hours or according to business requirements.
2. Enterprises providing telecommunications and internet services; Organizations and enterprises providing digital transformation platforms:
a) Increase resources to monitor, support and troubleshoot to ensure safe and smooth telecommunications and internet infrastructure.
b) Deploy technical measures at the highest level to detect, filter, and prevent cyber attacks, the dissemination of malicious information, and information that violates the law on information systems and network infrastructure under their management.
c) Strengthen monitoring, updating, and handling of user feedback and complaints about spam messages, spam calls, especially scam messages and scam calls through the spam message and spam call feedback receiving system; Resolutely and thoroughly handle cases of spreading spam messages, scam messages, spam calls, and scam calls reported by users.
d) Strictly and promptly implement handling measures as required by the Department of Information and Communications and competent authorities.
